The Technical Show is an educational experience created to explore the technical side of filmmaking and visual storytelling.

The project started in Egypt in 2023 as an initiative to create a space where filmmakers, cinematographers, and media creators can engage directly with the tools and technologies that shape the craft. The idea was simple: bring the technical process of filmmaking into an open learning environment where professionals and emerging creators can observe, experiment, and understand how cinematic images are built.

What's inside?

The experience combines live demonstrations, technical breakdowns, and practical discussions around camera systems, lighting, sound, and broadcast workflows.

Interactive

Instead of teaching filmmaking only through theory, the project focuses on showing the mechanics behind the image — how technology, engineering, and creative decisions come together to support storytelling.

Hands on

Participants are exposed to real production setups where they can study camera behavior, signal flow, lighting control, and sound recording in a practical context.

The format encourages dialogue between instructors and participants, creating a collaborative environment where technical knowledge becomes accessible and applicable.

The mission of The Technical Show is to bridge the gap between filmmaking creativity and technical understanding.
